We’ve yet to do a full work-up, so I’ll be giving you the highlights in this brief overview.

Basically, the magicJack Plus has been upgraded and now has the ability to function without the use of a computer.

You plug the MJ plus into your modem and the wall – the wall powers the device while the modem gives it the connection it needs to make calls.

Sound quality seems to also have been improved, as well as the pricing structure versus the amount of years they were offering before.

Check back within the next few days for a full review – thanks!

Just when you thought the magicJack couldn’t get any better, it’s improving drastically! Ymax, the company behind the Magic Jack, announced last month (January) at the Consumer Electronics Show, in Las Vegas, that they’ll be releasing a new version of the Magic Jack within a few months.

This version will include a newer cellphone technology called femtocell.

The Magic Jack will still be the same size, and offer the same features it had before, but now you’ll be able to make free local and long distance phone calls through your cellphone, too.

The femtocell technology works like a small cellphone tower within your house, allowing you to use you cellphone, through the Internet, to make calls free.

No minutes are added to your current cellphone plan, everything runs straight through the Magic Jack, and your broadband, or cable Internet connection.

Even though the technology is changing, and the Magic Jack is becoming an even more effective communication device, the price will still only be an initial $40, for the first year. That includes the Magic Jack unit, and the first year of service free. Every year from then on is under $20, just like the commercial makes perfectly clear.

If you’ve been thinking trying out the magicJack, there certainly won’t be a better time. The company behind the Magic Jack is also offering a free month trial, with no obligation whatsoever. You don’t even have to pay shipping and handling!

This allows you to try out the Magic Jack for a full month, for free! If you don’t absolutely love it, all you have to do is send it back in, and you pay nothing. Most customers fall in love with it within the first few weeks though, so the odds of it being really effective are on your side.

Click here, or the banner below to get started with the Magic Jack!

We receive a lot of emails asking us if the Magic Jack actually works, and if so, how it works. People seem to simply think that the technology doesn’t exist, or the offer is just too good to be true.

While we’ll agree with them that the offer is pretty amazing, the technology is certainly here, and it really is possible to get free local and long distance calling with the Magic Jack! Below, we’ll go into more detail, walking you through how the Magic Jack accomplishes this amazing feat.

First off, the technology behind the Magic Jack, called VOIP, has been around for many years now. Commonly know as voice over the Internet protocol, the technology uses a device to convert a regular phone service into one that works through the web.

The same type of dial tone is heard on your handset, but the technology that delivers the call is simply different.

The company behind the Magic Jack, Ymax, is one of the first to get off the ground, become successful and stay profitable. This is very important when choosing which service to go with. Many different companies have burned out by now, taking their customers down with them.

Using the Magic Jack device really isn’t much different than using a regular phone. Once you plug the Magic Jack into your computer for the first time, an automatic installation will occur.

This will setup the computer to receive the technology to send your voice over the Internet, almost like turning your computer into your own home phone service. Then, you use it exactly like any other home phone, by dialing numbers and saying, “Hello!” to whom ever you choose to call. It’s really that simple and straight forward.

You’re also in luck! If you’ve been thinking about trying out the Magic Jack, there’s a promotion currently running where you get to try the Magic Jack risk-free for a full month, before having to pay for the service. This will help you get the hang of installation, use and overall function-ability. Go ahead and try out Magic Jack now!

Whether you’ve heard about the Magic Jack internet phone online, at the store, or on a late night infomercial, there’s no denying that its a red hot product right now. The magicJack’s popularity has absolutely flourished as consumers have come from all walks of life to help save on their monthly cellphone and long-distance bills.

Who can blame them? $20 a year for free local and long distance? That’s incredible, and quite an amazing deal, even though you still end up paying for the Magic Jack product itself, for the first year.

The company behind the Magic Jack also offers a risk-free, no obligation trial to anyone even remotely interested in owning a magicJack.

And it’s not one of those crummy week long, or ever 14 day trials. You get to try the Magic Jack out for an entire month with no obligation, before being charged for the product and the first year of service. If within that time you find out the Magic Jack internet phone isn’t right for you, simply ship it back, and that’s your only obligation. No more fees or charges.

The magicJack internet phone is great for all families. The device is simple to use, and only requires an active internet connection. Once you take it out of the box, it takes only a few minutes to plug it in and have the software installed. Magic Jack then uses your internet connection to make phone calls all over the United States and Canada for free!

You can hook up a regular hand-held phone to the device, or use the magicJack Softpad to dial and make phone calls over a headset attached to the computer. It’s very versatile.

Back in 2008, there was a lot of speculation. Consumers were wondering if Magic Jack was a fly-by-night operation that would be gone within the year. Or if they would run out of capital, and not be able to progress with their business any longer.

Well, it’s 2010 now, and the Magic Jack is booming. With a new version due out within a few months, there’s no better time to try it out for free!

The Magic Jack phone isn’t the first service to use VOIP technology. Many other companies exist these days that use the same type of technology, letting you talk over the Internet in a similar manner, but with subtle differences, including price and ease of use.

This article will take you through a few of the other companies out there, what they offer, at what price and how it all compares to the Magic Jack. If you’re ready, feel free to continue below.

#1: Magic Jack Phone Service

The Magic Jack really is the most simple, affordable, useful option out there these days. The company has been around for more than a few years, and currently earns an “A” rating from the Better Business Bureau.

Start-up costs only run you $40 for the VOIP phone jack, that plugs straight into your USB connection on your desktop computer.

Each year is only $19.95, which equals out to a little over 5 cents a day, or $1.66 a month for unlimited calling within Canada and the United States. The phone service is very crisp, clear and packed with featured that some traditional hand-held devices can’t offer.

The Magic Jack also comes with a 30-day risk-free trial that allows you to try out the service cor a whole month. If for any reason you’re unhappy, or simply prefer to return it, you can grab a full refund, no questions asked.

If you add up all of the features, the “A” rating, the risk-free trial and the price, how can you possibly go wrong by choosing to try out the Magic Jack?

#2: Phone Power Phone Service

The Phone Power service is another company that uses VOIP technology to pass your phone calls through the Internet, but at quite a cost. We’ve also read consumer reviews that say the service can be quite lousy at times, even have downtime.

You wouldn’t want that if you’re waiting for an important call, would you? It also costs quite a bit more than the Magic Jack. The first year of service costs $199.95, almost 10x more than if you chose the same unlimited calling service with the Magic Jack.

Reading further into our consumer research, it seems as if Phone Power is a step-up from Vonage, but it simply can’t match Magic Jack’s features, reliability and low price.

#3: Vonage Phone Service

Vonage is another mid-level, VOIP phone service, but actually has a few features that the Magic Jack can’t top. Vonage offers unlimited international phone service to over 60 countries world-wide. This is a wonderful feature, but it also comes with a stiff price tag.

If you’ll be making a lot of out-of-the-country calls, it can certainly be worth it, but for $24.99 a month, $5 more than a year of Magic Jack service, if you won’t be using it that often, it’d be a much better idea to stick with the Magic Jack phone service.

Overall, the service is reliable and quite clear. If you need to be making international calls, Vonage phone service can certainly come in handy, but keep in mind you’ll be paying quite a lot extra. If you’ll only be calling within Canada and the United States, it’s so much more worth it to go for the Magic Jack.

Interested in purchasing the Magic Jack? We’ll do you one better: why not try it out for free first? You hear us, for free! The company behind the Magic Jack is currently offering a risk-free 30-day trial to all new customers.

Try out the Magic Jack for yourself for a full month. If you’re not satisfied, simply let them know and send it back in. It couldn’t be any easier!

The Magic Jack, a small USB device that uses VOIP technology to provide an affordable, reliable phone service, has been enjoying wide-spread succes, as their commercials and advertising continues to roll on.

Since all of the hype is backed by the effectiveness of the product, and many gleaming magic jack reviews, it couldn’t be a better time to make the switch!

However, we’ve been receiving a lot of emails, asking us about how much the Magic Jack actually is. Many people are confusing the prices per year with the cost per month, as well as the differences in the first year of service. We’re stepping in to set the record straight, get the most accurate magic jack price information to you, and let you in on a special introductory deal that they have running.

First off, when you order the Magic Jack online, you’re allowed to try the product out for free. It’s part of an introductory offer that ships the Magic Jack to you, free of charge, allowing you to try it for a full thirty days.

Since it’s not very difficult to explain the cost of the Magic Jack, we decided to make this article fairly short, and simply compare the overall cost of the Magic Jack to a few of the other VOIP companies out there that offer a similar service.

No other company has been able to top the Magic Jack’s features, affordability and overall experience that you get when you purchase the phone service. Discover the differences in price and features below.

The Magic Jack phone service initially starts out costing $39.95 for the VOIP phone jack device, that plugs straight into your desktop computer. All you have to do is plug in any handset phone, or you can even use a headset connected to the computer if you prefer.

Once plugged in, the Magic Jack device automatically installs itself, prompting you for phone number registration when the time comes. Once you’re registered and signed up, you’re service begins immediately.

The first year of service is free, after that it’s only $19.95 for each additional year. Way cheaper than any of the other internet phone providers on the market today, and packed with the same great features, even a few extras that not all providers include.

Compared to other VOIP phone companies like Vonage, ITP, and even Phone Power, the Magic Jack surpasses them all, at a much more affordable price.

The company behind the Magic Jack also offers it’s customers a 30-day risk-free trial to start off the service. If for any reason you’re unsatisfied, or would simply like to return it, you can; no questions asked.

If you’ve been digging through websites, and researching the Magic Jack, you may have found some reports of them being a scam company. While this simply isn’t true, there is some merit to most users claims.

We feel like it’s not enough to stop anyone from getting a Magic Jack. After all, this is a wonderful product that over ten-thousand customers are trying out per day. How can that many people be getting scammed? It’s just not possible.

Claim #1: “The company behind Magic Jack charges you instantly for the trial.”

This claim dates back to around 2007, when the Magic Jack first came out. Although it has nothing to do with the company behind Magic Jack, this was actually happening.

When you apply for a car rental, apartment, or any other type of product that requires a security deposit, you may have seen the money taken from your account.

In reality, it’s only pending, and won’t post to your account if you don’t need to pay for the deposit. This happens when a customer uses a debit card for the transaction.

The same was happening early on with the Magic Jack. Debit and credit cards work differently, where as a debit card is required to put a hold on the amount for the deposit, or trial. The credit card simply runs the transaction as a no-charge.

Thankfully, this is all fixed now, on both ends, making this claim false!

Claim #2: “The Magic Jack doesn’t even work! This is a scam!”

Once again, if you’ve been researching the Magic Jack, you may have found this claim on a few forums and consumer warning sites, but when it really gets down to it, this claim couldn’t be farther from the truth.

These naysayers are the ones that haven’t set the Magic Jack up correctly (even though it couldn’t be simpler), refuse to get help from customer service, or are simply bad-mouthing the company, just to do it. The Magic Jack is an upstanding, A-rated company with tons of testimonials to back up the product.

If you’ve been thinking about trying out the Magic Jack, we say go ahead and do it. Everyone we’re connected with has great service and loves the super low price!

You can even try out the Magic Jack for a full month, without having to pay anything up front. The company behind Magic Jack will ship you the unit, free. From there, you have a month to try it out for yourself. It couldn’t be easier!
